SPLATTERFEST NOSTALGIA PANEL - zoom reunion of participants from the legendary “Splatterfest” of 1990 at the Scala london - including “Combat shock” director Buddy giovinazzo
The first annual Terrifying Thai Film Festival, taking place at Somtow’s World, a unique artistic complex nestled in the hills of Khao Yai National Park. We are an in-person mini-festival which features workshops by film professionals, panel discussions by Thai and international film personalities, and of course … horror! … including an all-night film program curated by best-selling horror novelist, composer and filmmaker, past president of the Horror Writers’ Association, S.P. Somtow … and a special competition for short subjects with award ceremony!
The first festival was a lot of fun and, to be honest, almost put creator S.P. Somtow in the poorhouse. That and family tragedies means this year’s festival will be held in Bangkok, at the gorgeous Cinema Oasis, a well-known indie art house in the heart of Bangkok. The Festival is going to be held VIRTUALLY on Feb 3/4 (as advertised) and IN-PERSON on March 9/10. Awards will be officially announced on February 4 (except the audience favorite!) and all selections will be screened at the Oasis in person on March 9/10.
